This newsletter is getting a shakeup and exciting things are coming soon. Quickfire - please share your favourite newsletter or favourites, even. I’d love to hear from you! Also say hi, this is my first thread and a great chance to get to know you 🔥 💖 🖊️
The "Valentine's Day is as trash as cheap chocolate" newsletter sticks in my mind. Like how you apologised for not writing a counter narrative then delivered one of your best!
It came back to me this valentine's day when I was doom scrolling through all of my coupled friends' insta stories. Also I just reread it and noticed themes from the book 👀
I really like the newsletter : “ We don’t always need to have an opinion”......I agree being
“ opinionated” is tiresome. We could try keeping our counsel sometimes. Do we need to share our “ thoughts” which are often ill conceived gut reactions all the time?
On the other hand it’s human nature to gossip!! Does that have to be taken “seriously” when oftentimes it’s of the moment and best forgotten. Entertaining yes but trust is broken when someone repeats what’s been said. ‘Nuff said.
My favourite was the interview with Molly Pierce about friendships. There was so much great wisdom in it!
"Your friendships are the way that you make sense of the world. Growing up and coming into your adulthood, you use each other as kind of measuring posts almost. Not that you’re constantly comparing, but you see someone doing something that you might be interested in and think maybe I’d also like to do that."
